Hotel Description:
- The Hawnby Hotel, formally a Drovers' Inn, dates back to the 19th century. It is set in the peaceful village of Hawnby in the heart of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park. Our hotel is the ideal base for a relaxing break, providing high quality accommodation with many opportunities for leisure activities nearby. We have 9 bedrooms, 6 in the main hotel and 3 in the recently converted stables. All are en-suite, non-smoking and furnished to a high standard with tv, tea-coffee tray, hairdryer, and iron. Baby listening devices are also available on request. High quality, freshly prepared meals can be enjoyed daily in our restaurant - the Mexborough Room, which commands stunning views over our gardens and the surrounding countryside. **Billback is not accepted by this establishment - payment must be made either on check out or before arrival**.

| Driving Directions: |
: From South-take A19-A168 off A1 towards Thirsk and Teesside. Exit A19-A168 at junction signposted Scarborough-Thirsk A170. Follow signs at 2 roundabouts to Scarborough A170. On A170 not far past national speed limit sign turn left at first junction to Felixkirk-Boltby. Follow country lane through villages of Felixkirk and Boltby. After Boltby you climb a very steep hill and pass Low Paradise Farm on left. Ignore turnings to Cold Kirby and Old Byland. 4miles further on from Boltby you will drop down into Hawnby village just over a temporary steel bridge. Follow road to top of hill where you'll find Hawnby Hotel on your left. From Stokesley-take B1257 towards Helmsley. Go through Great Broughton and Chop Gate villages. After a further 4miles ignore road on right signposted Laskill next to red telephone box. After driving along the side of a hill take next right signposted Hawnby. Follow country lane for 3miles to T-junction into the village of Hawnby. Follow road to top of hill.

Our chefs use local produce wherever possible to create seasonal menus for you to savour. These are complemented by an extensive wine list. Booking for the restaurant is advisable.
